AIRPORT/CHILAW On arrival, transfer to Chilaw with your local guide. Check in the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Chilaw.
CHILAW/ANAWILUNDAWA BIRDS SANCTUARY/WILPATTU After breakfast, Visit Anawilundawa bird sanctuary - the second largest Ramsar wetland in Sri Lanka. This is a very important wetland for many resident and migratory birds. On completion, Transfer to Kalpitiya. In the evening check in to your hotel and at leisure. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kalpitiya.
KALPITIYA MARINE SANCTUARY/WILPATTU After breakfast, Enjoy the boat ride to watch dolphins and whales. Kalpitiya marine sanctuary attracts large populations of dolphins and whales and if it is the right time of the year, the coastline is peppered with dolphins. For keen scuba divers and snorkelers, the largest coral reef in Sri Lanka (‘Bar reef') is only an hour's boat trip from Kalpitiya. This beautiful reef is home to an incredible variety of tropical fish as well as offering sighting of manta rays, reef sharks and the occasional turtle! In the evening proceed to Wilpattu. Overnight stay at a hotel near to Wilpattu National Park.
WILPATTU NATIONAL PARK/SIGIRIYA With a packed breakfast, leave for Wilpattu national park and enjoy half a day safari. There are approximately 30 species of mammals in the Wilpattu National Park which include the Sri Lankan Elephant, Sri Lankan Leopard, Lankan Sloth Bear, Sri, Spotted Deer, Buffalo, Sambar and Mongoose. Further recording a vast number of Sri Lankan Leopards. In the evening proceed to Sigiriya. Overnight stay at a hotel in Sigiriya.
SIGIRIYA/POLONNARUWA/SIGIRIYA After breakfast, enjoy bird watching around Sigiriya rock. Next visit Sigiriya reck fortress. Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress located in the Central Province – Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high. In the evening visit Polonnaruwa (A UNESCO World Heritage Site) to photograph troops of Toque Macaques, who were famously featured in both the BBC’s “Temple Troop” and David Attenborough’s “Life of Mammals”. On completion, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Sigiriya.
SIGIRIYA/DAMBULLA/KANDY (DIGANA) After breakfast, head towards the once capital city of Sri Lanka, the beautiful Kandy while stopping at Dambulla cave temple. Dambulla cave temple dates from the 1st century BC. The fascination of these caves is not only the Buddha statues but also the many intricate and delicate paintings that cover the ceiling and walls, created with indigenous traditional paints. On arrival, visit the temple of the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Afterwards, transfer to Digana. Overnight stay at a hotel in Digana
KANDY (DIGANA)/NUWARA ELIYA After breakfast, sightseeing around Digana which provides an excellent base for exploring the sites of Kandy in-depth. It is renowned for its many sought-after attractions including Victoria golf club. Next transfer to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit a tea planation where you will witness the tea making process. In the evening visit Hakgala botanical garden which is truly a bliss for all ages with an extensive variety of roses, orchids and spices. Overnight stay at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya
NUWARA ELIYA/HORTON PLAINS NATIONAL PARK/TISSA With packed breakfast, visit Horton Plains national park, UNESCO World Heritage Site & Eco-tourism hideout in the heart of the isle, painted with unending stretches of green pastures marks one of the healthiest wet montane evergreen forests in Sri Lanka. On completion, transfer back to the hotel and continue your journey to Tissa. In the evening check in the hotel and spend some relaxing time by the Pool. Overnight stay at a hotel in Tissa/Katharagama
TISSA/YALA NATONAL PARK/TANGALLE With packed breakfast, enjoy morning safari in Yala national park. Yala national park is the 2nd largest National Park in the island. The parkland makes up most of the reserve but also includes lakes, beaches, jungle, rivers and scrubland. This variety in habitats provides an excellent range in wildlife. The largest concentration of Leopards can be seen in this region though the chances of seeing. On completion, drive back to the hotel. Next ahead towards to Tangalle. In the evening visit Rekawa beach – one of the main natural habitats in southern Sri Lanka. Here you can get an opportunity to spot sea turtles. Overnight stay at a hotel in Tangalle.
TANGALLE After Breakfast, spend the day at leisure according to your schedule. Optional: Whale watching at Mirissa (Tangalle – Mirissa apprx 1 hour drive - one way. Guest should be at the deck by 6.30 am) Overnight stay at a hotel in Tangalle.
