Day 01

AIRPORT/NEGOMBO On arrival, transfer to Negombo with your specialized local guide. Check in the hotel. In the evening photograph around this small beach town. The economy of Negombo is mainly based on tourism and its centuries-old fishing industry. On completion transfer back to the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Negombo.

Day 02

NEGOMBO/SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS/POLONNARUWA After breakfast, transfer Polonnaruwa. En route visit Sigiriya rock fortress (A UNESCO World Heritage Site). A historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters high. In the evening check in the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at a hotel in Polonnaruwa.

Day 03

POLONNARUWA/MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK/SIGIRIYA After breakfast, Visit Polonnaruwa (A UNESCO World Heritage Site) to photograph troops of Toque Macaques, who were famously featured in both the BBC’s “Temple Troop” and David Attenborough’s “Life of Mammals”. In the evening visit Minneriya national park to photograph herds of elephants and other mammals. Overnight stay at a hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 04

SIGIRIYA/KNUCKLES FOREST RESERVE After breakfast, leave for Knuckles. Photography at Knuckles wildness area which is one of the most rugged and picturesque terrains in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay at a hotel near to Knuckles Mountain Range

Day 05

KNUCKLES/KANDY After breakfast, Photography around the hotel. Next transfer to Kandy - the World Heritage Site & last royal capital of Sri Lankan kings. On arrival visit temple of Tooth Relic. Walk around and photography of the bazaar, an arts & crafts centre, as well as a gem museum & lapidary. In the evening witness Sri Lankan Traditional Cultural show. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kandy.

Day 06

KANDY/RAMBODA/NUWARA ELIYA After breakfast, Next transfer to Nuwara Eliya. En route photograph remarkable sceneries (Tea plantations, Waterfalls, Lush green mountains etc.). In the evening visit Hakgala botanical garden to photograph the highland races of Purple face leaf monkey and Toque macaque. Overnight stay at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 07

NUWARA ELIYA/HORTON PLAINS NATIONAL PARK/NUWARA ELIYA With packed breakfast, visit Horton Plains national park to photograph montane endemics and tuned cloud forests. In the evening walk around Nuwara Eliya city. Overnight stay at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 08

NUWARA ELIYA/ELLA/YALA NATIONAL PARK After breakfast, Leave for Yala national park. En route visit Ella – a small town which is used as a base for plenty of trekking expeditions to the surrounding country side. In the evening check in the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at a hotel in Yala or Tissa.

Day 09

YALA NATIONAL PARK With packed breakfast, Go for full day safari in Yala national park. Yala national park block 1 has one of the highest densities of Leopards in the world. Yala therefore offers one of the best chances in Asia to see leopards. On completion, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Yala or Tissa.

Day 10

YALA/GALLE/MIRISSA After breakfast, Transfer to Galle (A UNESCO World Heritage Site), the epic Southern capital, is the intersection where classic Dutch architecture meets a tropical setting creating a vivid atmosphere in beauty. In the evening walk around Galle fort. Overnight stay at a hotel in Mirissa.

Day 11

MIRISSA/COLOMBO With packed breakfast, go for Whale watching. There are Blue Whales, Bryde’s Whales, Sperm Whales, Fin Whales and hundreds of dolphins – Spinner, Bottle Nosed, Stripped and Risso’s Dolphins – to be witnessed just drifting offshore, and if you are lucky you may even steer into a school of Killer Whales. On completion transfer to Colombo. Overnight stay at a hotel in Colombo.

Day 12

COLOMBO/AIRPORT After Breakfast, transfer to the airport for the departure.
