AIRPORT/NEGOMBO

On arrival, meet your local driver and transfer to the hotel. In the evening rest at the hotel.

NEGOMBO/DAMBULLA OR HABARANA

After having the breakfast leisurely, enjoy city tour in Negombo. The economy of Negombo is mainly based on tourism and its centuries-old fishing industry, though it also produces cinnamon, ceramics, and brassware. There are also Departmental stores, large supermarkets, and various of branded shops and Boutiques in the bustling streets of Negombo downtown. Next, head towards to the Ayurveda retreat at Dambulla or Habarana. Upon arrival, check in the hotel and relax. In the evening, embark on your wellness journey with traditional Ayurvedic treatments from ancient Sri Lanka at the Ayurveda Retreat. All Ayurveda treatments are based on individual diagnosis, acupuncture treatment, yoga and meditation and more.

DAMBULLA OR HABARANA

Attend to morning Yoga session at the retreat. After breakfast, engage with traditional Ayurvedic treatments. In the evening you will be collected by your guide and driven to the iconic Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. Definitely a great opportunity to burn off that lovely breakfast, you will enjoy a visit to this fascinating UNESCO complex and a hike to the top to enjoy the stunning scenery. The site at Sigiriya was built in the 5th Century during the reign of King Kasyapa (477-495 AD). Sigiriya is commonly called the ‘Fortress in the Sky’ and is probably the most iconic wonder of Sri Lanka. Optional: Enjoy evening jeep safari at Minneriya/Kaudulla national park. On completion, transfer back to Ayurveda retreat.

DAMBULLA OR HABARANA

Attend to morning Yoga session at the retreat. After breakfast, Engage in Ayurveda treatments. Your mind, body and soul will be in perfect harmony after the Ayurveda treatments. In the evening get a hands-on cooking experience in the traditional setting of a mud hut. Here you will learn how to prepare and cook few vegetarian Sri Lankan dishes such as gotukola sambola (Indian pennywart salad), rathu alla hodi (beetroot curry) etc. Enjoy traditional cultural dance show at Habarana cultural centre.

DAMBULLA OR HABARANA/MATALE/KANDY

Attend to morning Yoga session at the retreat. After breakfast, engage with traditional Ayurvedic treatments. After lunch, check out the hotel and head towards the once capital city of Sri Lanka, the beautiful Kandy while stopping at Dambulla cave temple. Dambulla cave temple dates from the 1st century BC. The fascination of these caves is not only the Buddha statues but also the many intricate and delicate paintings that cover the ceiling and walls, created with indigenous traditional paints. Middle of your journey to Kandy you can stop at Spice Garden in Matale. Sri Lankan’s are the masters of spice and here you can learn how spices aren’t just used in food, but also cosmetics and Ayurvedic medicine. This is the ideal place to learn about the best Sri Lankan spices. Upon arrival, check in the hotel and relax.

KANDY

After breakfast, Visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. The Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. After wards, step in the Kandy city - bundled with latest and world class brands, bazaar, an arts & crafts centre, as well as a gem museum & lapidary. In the evening attend to a meditation program at a village temple in Kandy.

KANDY/PINNAWALA/BEACH HOTEL

After breakfast, transfer to visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala is the most popular and accessible place to see large numbers of elephants in a natural habitat. Enjoy Elephants bathing. Next continue your journey to a beach destination. In the evening check in the hotel & rest at leisure.
